We’re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a Deputy Operations Director; with passion in what you do, talented and experienced; to help build the future of space technology.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the selected candidate will lead the areas of Purchasing and Logistics, Production, Quality, After-Sales, and Facilities at Alén Space.
What you will be doing?
* Management of the Purchasing and Logistics, Production, Quality, and Facilities areas, with a team of 13 people.
* Implementation of process and tool improvements globally (resource tracking, project/order management, tool unification, etc.).
* Coordination between the Operations and Finance departments for reporting activities.
* Support in budget preparation.
* Development of the strategy for the assigned areas.
* Strategy, objectives, budgeting, and oversight of the Quality team.
* Establishment of objectives, budgeting, and performance tracking for managers.
* Assistance and support to the Operations Director in daily operational management and identification of improvement needs.
* Determination of stock levels and authorization of purchase requests.
* Coordination and monitoring of after-sales incidents with various departments within the organization.
* Supervision of corrective and preventive maintenance plans for the company’s facilities and instrumentation.
* Recruitment of personnel for the assigned areas.
What do we need in our team?
* Higher education in technical areas, ideally Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Organization or similar.
* Proven experience in a similar role for at least 10 years, managing teams in an industrial sector.
* Excellent communication skills and accustomed to teamwork.
* Knowledge and application of quality standards such as ISO9001 or similar.
* English proficiency at C1 level.
* Availability for national and international travel.
Valuable knowledge:
* Master’s degree in Operations or Production Management, or an MBA.
* Previous experience in electronic production environments.
