The position
The Sales Manager Commercial & Compact UPS Spain & Portugal is responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships with new customers, driving sales activities with existing and new customers, investigating the market of this product range in the target territory, ensuring the long-term presence of the company in the Data & IT and Light Industrial markets, and achieving the sales targets.
Main Responsibilities
1. Identify new partners and distributors for the AEG PS standard UPS range in the territory.
2. Establish, develop, and maintain productive relationships with new customers.
3. Achieve the sales targets for this product range in the territory.
4. Identify and develop new business opportunities in the American market.
5. Establish AEG PS's permanent market presence in the Data & IT sector, working closely with IT wholesalers and system integrators.
6. Identify and establish new sales channels for commercial & compact UPSs in the building infrastructure, transportation, and manufacturing sectors.
7. Analyze new potential market segments to develop the sales plan and ensure future growth with a focus on Spain, Portugal, and Latin America.
8. Permanently investigate the market and analyze trends to assist the company in its competitive market strategy.
9. Define and execute sales plans and maintain relevant information in the CRM system.
10. Work in close cooperation with the product marketing team to provide up-to-date market information and support the development of new products.
11. Collaborate with the AEG PS Service team to ensure proper service support and customer satisfaction.
12. Continuously investigate new solution concepts with distributors, end users, and system integrators to increase AEG PS's competitiveness in this market.
13. Represent the company to customers and act as a linking pin between customers and relevant internal departments; participate in acceptance tests (FAT or SAT).
14. Collaborate with Field Application Engineering on the preparation of specific quotations and provide the required information for competitive solution offerings.
15. Collaborate with Service on preparing and promoting competitive service offerings to support the sales growth of the compact UPS business.
16. Work closely with other sales managers to support company activities in other projects.
17. Represent the company at conferences, trade fairs, and customer events, as well as in project reviews.
Qualifications and Requirements
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with supplementary studies in Sales Management.
2. 5+ years of sales experience in the UPS industry.
3. Knowledge of commercial and contract law, and specification of project orders.
4. Knowledge in the field of contract negotiations.
5. Proficiency in Spanish and English, and ideally some knowledge of Portuguese.
6. Computer literacy: MS Office Applications; CRM; ERP/SAP.
