RESPONSIBILITIES As a cook intern, your duties will include the following: Preparing all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner. Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the restaurant. Restocking all items as needed throughout the shift. Cleaning and maintaining station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation, and organizational skills. Understanding and knowing how to use and maintain all station equipment properly. Assisting with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen. Performing additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef or Kitchen Manager at any time. Preparing food: Meat, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and cold food items. Covering, dating, and correctly storing all food preparation items. Using food preparation tools following the manufacturer''s instructions. Closing the kitchen correctly and following the closing protocol made per station.
