The BC3-Basque Centre for Climate Change is a Research Centre based in Leioa which aims to contribute to long term research on the causes and consequences of climate change in order to foster the creation of knowledge in this multidisciplinary science. This center is part of the network of BERCs - Basque Excellence Research Centers supported by the Basque Government.BC3 seeks to be a world-class climate change research center aimed at informing decision-making at the Basque, Spanish, and International level by integrating natural and social sciences to address the socio-economic implications of global climate change.People OfficerThe candidate will work in a team (People Facilities) of another 2 people collaborating closely with the Operation Manager.People Facilities team, interacts with other Managerial teams, such as, People Facilities, and Legal Purchases and also with the Scientific team.The aim of the position will be to implement the activities related to human resources management of BC3, and to support other managerial and scientific teams.Functions:HR policy management and improvementEmployment and Training contracts managementLabour and Science Law complianceWorking/living permits managementManagement of BC3 employees’ stays in foreign centresBC3’s working time managementPayroll managementBC3 employee journey plan management and implementationEmployee’s training plan definition and implementationInternal communicationBC3’s people indicators monitoringOther people management unit related activities such as, IT facilities coordination, reception desk coordination, etc.Experience/skills required:Degree in Administration or Finances, Labour Relationships, Engineering or similarAdvanced Office software knowledgeExcellent spoken and written communication skills in English, Basque and SpanishTeamwork and Proactive attitudeTime management and Problem solvingExcellent communication and Relationship Management skills (Empathy)Desired skills:Master’s in people management or similar.2 years’ experience in similar position under HR department.Labour Law - Science Law and any other regulation related to labour aspects (equality, risk prevention...)ERP software use experience.
