About the Role:
Our company is a research-driven biopharmaceutical organization on a mission to deliver impactful medicines and vaccines that can significantly enhance health outcomes globally.
Our Medical Affairs team plays a vital role in advancing patient care by generating and communicating scientific data while engaging with external medical experts and healthcare providers to ensure the scientific value of our products is recognized. We also focus on training our internal employees, ensuring they understand the science behind our medicines and their added value.
With over 50 years of experience in researching, developing, and commercializing medicines for cardiovascular diseases, we are expanding our portfolio to include products for the prevention and treatment of metabolic and cardiovascular conditions. We are currently seeking two Field-Based Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to join our cardiometabolic team for one of the most exciting projects in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement with the Medical and Scientific Community:
* Develop relationships with regional and national scientific leaders and healthcare providers.
* Design and implement engagement plans for scientific leaders, fostering long-term collaborations with national experts.
* Facilitate unbiased exchanges of scientific information.
* Collaborate with the scientific community on medical education and research projects.
* Communicate available evidence to inform healthcare decision-makers and enhance patient health outcomes.
Scientific and Medical Expertise:
* Serve as a medical ambassador, representing the company within the assigned area.
* Become a recognized scientific expert in our cardiovascular products and therapeutic areas.
* Participate as a speaker or discussant at external meetings and scientific conferences as requested.
* Keep abreast of major studies, competitive product information, and clinical data.
Integration with the National Medical Affairs Team:
* Provide feedback for the development of cardiovascular country medical affairs plans.
* Implement assigned projects and activities within the medical plan.
* Act as a medical affairs representative within our cross-functional, field-based company structure.
Guiding Principles and Practices:
* Engage in in-depth scientific exchanges in the cardiovascular area, leading to knowledge transfer initiatives and research.
* Foster a bi-directional exchange of ideas with healthcare professionals.
* Adhere to company and local regulatory standards in reporting scientific outcomes and discussions.
What You Bring:
* Training and Knowledge:
o Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences (PhD level is an alternative).
o Clinical or research experience, or previous work in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the cardiovascular therapeutic area.
o Strong scientific knowledge of clinical research methodology, implementation, and data interpretation, including basic statistics.
o Fluency in Spanish and English.

o Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time. A valid driving license is required.
