Summary: This Senior Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, planning, and budgeting within the Endodontics Product Business Unit, Healthcare Specialties Group. This position directly reports to the Vice President/GM of Endodontics Business Unit and is responsible for managing a team of accountants, finance business partners, and analysts directly and through matrix reporting relationships. The individual will manage the consolidated reporting and analysis of monthly and quarterly accounting close for all businesses within the overall Endodontics portfolio. Responsibilities also include partnering with senior leadership to support future growth opportunities through the preparation of key models and analytics. This role will be a key financial leader for this portfolio of domestic and international businesses.
The Henry Schein Endodontic Business Unit is a highly entrepreneurial and fast-growing division composed of differentiated endodontic brands that target different customer segments through various sales channels. This position can be located close to any of our offices in the US or Europe (BeNeLux, DE, AT, IT, FR, ES/PT, UK/IRL).
Responsibilities:
1. Assume a leadership role in the reporting of monthly close and forecasting submissions, ensuring timely, complete, and accurate submissions. Provide a detailed analysis of results to senior management.
2. Proactively analyze profitability, sales growth, headcount, and expenses, investigate unusual items, and prepare monthly performance reports to management. Provide recommendations based on sound financial understanding of each P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow effect on business decisions.
3. Oversee the annual budget submission process, supporting the management team and subsidiary businesses by providing in-depth operating budget analyses.
4. Provide financial leadership and controllership for existing Endodontics groups and new groups as they are created, partnering with local business leaders to identify key risks and opportunities.
5. Create and maintain a unified reporting structure with key reporting metrics, improve monthly reporting and forecasting, and provide summary financial highlights to management.
6. Assist in the planning and execution of onboarding newly acquired businesses into Henry Schein financial reporting systems as well as tracking acquisition-related synergies.
7. Participate in special projects as needed.
Your Profile and Qualification:
1. Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of applicable professional experience; 3 or more years of management experience preferred.
2. BSc in Finance or Accounting required; MBA preferred.
3. Strong commitment to financial accuracy and data integrity is required.
4. Must possess an enthusiasm for identifying and implementing process improvements.
5. Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience preferred.
6. Understanding of GAAP.
7. Expert knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Excel, required.
8. Outstanding independent decision-making, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to understand, interpret, and act on financial information that contributes to business profitability.
10. Ability to plan and manage complex and successful projects; understand available resources, develop timelines, budgets, and assign areas of responsibility.
11. Lead teams to achieve company goals and solve complex business issues in creative and effective ways.
12. Outstanding planning and organizational skills and techniques.
13. Communicate effectively with senior management and key stakeholders.
