Role Purpose
The Senior Manager Data Privacy & DAI Policies & Framework:
1. Contributes to define global Data Privacy & DAI policies, standards & external Sandoz positions.
2. Drives implementation of global Data Privacy & DAI frameworks (e.g. intragroup agreements for data transfers, binding corporate rules).
3. Works with the Data Privacy & DAI team to build the controls and risk assurance framework and embed in the businesses.
4. Develops Data Privacy & DAI trainings for implementation at both global and local levels.
5. Implements communication strategies with a focus on building awareness for Sandoz associates on Data Privacy & DAI relevant topics.
By the definition of group-wide legal standards for responsible use of data and AI/Digital initiatives and activities, and through defining external Sandoz positions and shaping externally, the Sr Manager Data Privacy & DAI Policies & Framework supports innovation and preserves the integrity of Sandoz. In addition, by the implementation of processes, governance, and controls, the Sr Manager Data Privacy & DAI Policies & Framework enables the Group Data Protection Officer to provide risk assurance to the ECN and to the Board of Sandoz, and document and demonstrate compliance with all relevant Data Privacy, Digital & AI laws and standards worldwide.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Define group-wide Data Privacy & DAI policies and standards to support innovation and preserve the company’s integrity.
2. Set policy requirements that define Data Privacy & DAI process & framework needs.
3. Define external Sandoz positions on Data Privacy & DAI topics and flag needs for external shaping activities to the Group Data Protection Officer.
4. Coordinate and maintain oversight of the global Data Privacy & DAI strategy and program (organizational accountability).
5. Design and drive implementation of global Data Privacy and DAI governance processes with the Regional Heads.
6. Provide coordination of AI/Digital initiatives and activities within the function.
7. Conduct research on global regulatory developments specific to Data Privacy & DAI topics in collaboration with Legal Champions, and with Regional Data Privacy & DAI associates on regional-specific issues.
8. Develop Data Privacy & DAI trainings for implementation at both global and local levels.
9. Implement communication strategies with a focus on building awareness on Data Privacy & DAI relevant topics.
10. Build and maintain scientific and business expertise in order to fully understand Data Privacy & DAI related business needs.

Minimum Requirements
1. Law degree (preferably in a European or North American jurisdiction), or business degree with executive education in Privacy.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience (of which at least 2 at managerial level) in a Data Privacy role, preferably in healthcare industry or large corporation with shared service concept.
3. Excellent understanding of business implications of different solutions to data privacy issues.
4. Strong communication skills enabling effective communication with all levels inside and outside of organization and with different professional backgrounds.
5. 2-5 years of professional experience in a pharmaceutical/healthcare data privacy role is a plus.
6. Fluent in English written and spoken.
