All resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property contribute to maintain, repair, and refurbish sold or existing products. This includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), managing maintenance facilities, and field services engineering. You will be accountable for the quality of your own work.
Subject to direct operations supervision, you will execute within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step-by-step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Maintain all models specific to a modality in the assigned area.
2. Perform total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom problems.
3. Communicate clearly with end-users and department managers on equipment status; maintain customer satisfaction.
4. Assist in Account Sales visits, help train others where necessary, and identify Sales opportunities and communicate them to the account team.
5. Assist in the growth and direction of business in the geographic area.
6. Responsible for Warranty and PMS contract cost control.
7. Complete all administration tasks on time (e.g., ensure timely completion of FMI's and PMS inspections documentation for assigned accounts).
8. Play a leading role in complex and multifunctional rooms.
9. Share best practices.
10. Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement.
Required Qualifications
1. A diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electromechanics or Biomedical Engineering Technology, or solid experience as a Field Service Engineer.
2. Experience in electromedicine or imaging (healthcare sector).
3. Good technical skills with a systematic and thorough approach to problem solving.
4. The ability to plan and organize your work effectively, and to work with minimal direction.
5. Excellent interpersonal, listening, and customer service skills; you can deal with differences of opinion tactfully and effectively, and you influence rather than direct.
6. Good knowledge of the English language to properly communicate, successfully attend training courses, and allow fluent communication.
