OVERVIEW
The Account Director, Digital Marketing is a client-facing role for an established digital marketer and natural leader. The Account Director, Digital Marketing role is at the forefront of our business for clients, and ultimately responsible for the client relationship and business partnership. Working both as an individual contributor and collaboratively with a team, this role is responsible for the overall client experience – from delivery quality to alignment with client goals and outcomes.
The ideal candidate for this role has a well-rounded digital marketing background, is comfortable with and excels in a fast-moving agency environment, is a self-starter who demonstrates exceptional communication skills, is adept at leading multiple clients in a book of business - including enterprise organizations and brings a data-centric problem-solving mindset to every engagement.
DESCRIPTION
Lead the account direction and cross-team coordination of internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class work to clients across a variety of industries.
Be the go-to for your client’s business goals, and how our work helps drive successful outcomes for clients
Lead relationships for the agency with Director, VP, and C-level client stakeholders.
Lead the cross-department teams in developing coherent marketing strategies that integrate current and new service offerings with our client’s business objectives
Proactively identify opportunities to grow and expand business aligned to TP Digital capabilities
Proactively identify obstacles and risks that could impact budget and resources
Oversee development and execution of client digital strategy for assigned set of clients
Onboarding client relationships for Digital Marketing services
Assist Sales team with new opportunities including pitch and/or proposal development, delivery, and scoping for new opportunities
Support the Regional Directors, Digital Marketing in a leadership role to guide team development, career development, and team management for both assigned direct reports and the Global team as a whole.
Assist with the development of case studies and presentations to support marketing and sales efforts
REQUIRED SKILLS

Willingness to travel to offsite client or sales meetings

Confident coordinating internal teams, comfortable giving feedback and having difficult conversations with colleagues
Confident making strategic recommendations, and comfortable in client calls, meetings and presentations
Proven ability to create and lead results-driven digital marketing strategies in digital marketing channels including but not limited to: Paid Search, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Content Marketing, Social Media, and other digital channels as appropriate
Familiarity with best digital marketing practices, and continued evolutions in in Search Marketing, Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing and other digital marketing areas as relevant.
Comfort with assigning and explaining complex project tasks to team members, clients and vendors across regions and continents
Confident with data analysis, and ability to use data to make strategic recommendations to clients
Ability to lead and navigate client calls, meetings and presentations (internal and client facing)
Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and make recommendations to improve (experience leading change a plus)
Exceptional client negotiation skills, with a proven track record of growing business in an agency setting
Experience managing a book of business with financial targets, and budgeting marketing/media plans
Experience leading and developing a client management/services team
Proven experience setting and managing to client health and financial growth goals
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in marketing, communications, journalism or other related
10 + years of experience in a digital marketing agency setting with experience in Performance Marketing and Integrated Digital Strategy.
Experience managing team members or managing project workflow among internal teams or departments.
5+ years demonstrated experience leading Enterprise level clients
Experience building and growing client relationships and business at the VP/C-level.
Proven experience leading client-facing teams in international digital marketing and advertising
Client-facing experience in account management, project management and/or business development in the digital marketing industry
Prior experience running global projects with variable workloads and new business challenges
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a second language
Google AdWords and Google Analytics certification
