Retail Director will work in our client in the luxury industry will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, management, and performance of retail operations for a luxury brand. They ensure that the brand's vision is consistently executed in-store and drive exceptional customer service experiences while achieving sales targets. The role involves overseeing the recruitment, training, and development of retail teams, ensuring the highest standards of visual merchandising, and managing inventory and operational processes. The Retail Director will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies that enhance brand presence, profitability, and customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement retail strategies to align with the overall brand vision and business goals. Drive initiatives that enhance store performance, customer experience, and brand positioning in the luxury market.
2. Sales and Profitability Management : Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective management of store operations, ensuring optimal profitability. Analyze retail data, identify trends, and take proactive actions to drive growth.
3. Customer Experience Management : Maintain and elevate the brand’s reputation for exceptional customer service. Ensure every customer interaction aligns with luxury standards, creating memorable and personalized experiences.
4. Team Development and Leadership : Lead, motivate, and mentor the retail teams to ensure high performance and a positive working environment. Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff to maintain exceptional service standards.
5. Visual Merchandising and Store Operations : Ensure that all stores uphold the brand's visual merchandising guidelines and operate according to the highest standards. Oversee inventory control, stock management, and store upkeep to ensure an attractive and efficient shopping environment.
6. Financial and Operational Management : Manage budgets and costs effectively while ensuring that stores meet financial goals. Oversee operational tasks such as store scheduling, payroll, and logistics.
7. Brand and Market Analysis : Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and customer preferences. Collaborate with marketing teams to implement promotional activities that increase brand visibility and drive foot traffic.
8. Reporting and Communication : Provide regular reports on retail performance, including sales, customer feedback, and operational issues. Communicate effectively with senior leadership to align on objectives and progress.
Qualifications :
1. Extensive experience in luxury retail management, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving sales growth.
2. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a deep understanding of luxury brand values and customer expectations.
3. Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with an eye for detail and excellence in execution.
4. Proficient in retail management software and tools, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
5. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
6. Knowledge of current retail trends, particularly in the luxury market.
7. Fluency in multiple languages (depending on the region) is a plus.
