About the Role:
King's College, renowned for its academic excellence, is seeking a dynamic and ambitious professional to fill the position of Summer Camp Residential Monitor.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
* Adhere to the guidelines outlined in the King's College S.L. Staff Handbook.
* Attend the mandatory Training Day/planning sessions before the course begins.
* Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
* Wear the provided uniform and suitable footwear at all times.
* Arrive on the agreed starting date (to be confirmed).
* Follow the Residential course timetable and be punctual at all times.
* Be flexible with your schedule and willing to work varied hours.
* Demonstrate responsibility, professionalism, and flexibility in all duties.
* Provide adequate care and supervision to children at all times, especially when they are unwell or injured.
* Maintain awareness and observation of fire, health, and safety regulations as outlined in the Staff Handbook.
* Assist the Course Director with unpacking and packing course materials at the start and end of the Summer Course.
* Work collaboratively as part of the team.
* Be available to support the team at all times.
* Assist with transfers to/from the airport.
Monitoring Duties:
* Be prepared to take on a 24-hour duty role.
* Ensure the well-being and safety of children at all times, including during off-site excursions.
* Communicate effectively with children using English at all times.
* Plan and lead sports/activities for groups of 10-15 students aged six to seventeen years, as well as evening activities.
* Take responsibility for a dormitory of children, run daily dorm sessions/reunions, and provide individual support as needed.
* Participate in a rotation of duties with other staff members, including waking children, break times, meal times, pool supervision, night monitoring, and parent/tutor contact.
* Chaperone students on off-site excursions, following safety instructions from the course coordinator/director.
* Attend all staff meetings and participate in evening activities.
* Manage materials provided for activities and maintain clean and tidy areas.
