As we scale our platform and infrastructure, we are looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead our Azure-focused cloud and infrastructure strategy. This role is critical to ensuring our systems' scalability, security, and reliability in a highly regulated environment.
Role Overview
As a Principal DevOps Engineer, you will take ownership of infrastructure, CI/CD, security, and observability of Vitio's platform, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with our development team to automate deployments, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with healthcare IT standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure (experience with AWS/GCP is a plus).
* CI/CD & Automation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
* Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, access controls, and compliance measures (ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA), with expertise in Azure AD and IAM policies.
* Observability & Monitoring: Ensure high availability by setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
* SRE & Performance Optimization: Improve system reliability, scalability, and response times, optimizing Azure services.
* Collaboration: Work closely with developers to integrate DevOps practices into the SDLC, particularly in an Azure environment.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering
Strong expertise in Azure cloud services (Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Storage, etc.)
Experience with Azure AD, IAM, and RBAC for secure identity and access management
Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Experience with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
Strong understanding of networking, security, and system architecture in cloud environments
Hands-on experience with monitoring & logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, finance, etc.) is a plus
Excellent communication and leadership skills
