About the Role
The Financial Controller is responsible for driving financial health, maintain accurate financial reporting, manage and analyze financial statements, payroll, budgets, tax compliance, and risk management. This role involves preparing financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and collaborating with various departments to provide actionable financial insights that align with the company’s business objectives. The Financial controller works closely with the global CFO and regional leaders to ensure seamless integration of financial data for accurate reporting and analysis. This role requires an individual who exemplifies the company values of accountability, driven, ethical integrity and solutions oriented.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the full finance function across seven international entities, including accounting, treasury, AP, AR, audit, and payroll.
Selecting, training and developing the finance teams for the region.
Working with the finance staff, to ensure smooth financial operations.
Driving statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring legal and tax compliance with local and international regulations.
Implementing new processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing financial controls.
Leading global ERP system implementation and automation to streamline financial reporting and improve efficiency.
Responsible for internal control processes such as data integrity, daily bank reconciliations, safeguard of official documents of the daily operation including payables and receivables invoices, and KPIs such as on time invoicing, healthy operating cash flow.
Essential Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, and more than five years of experience in Finance.
•Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced, high performance culture
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Power BI and experience with ERP systems
•Superior attention to detail, and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
•Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication
•In-depth knowledge of IFRS financial reporting principles.
•Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and proficiency in financial analysis
•Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data.
•Strategic thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
•Leveraging technologies to boost compliance, with tools that automate financial processes, enhance accuracy and make it easier to meet compliance requirements.
•Proficiency in English. Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset
