We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Supply Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-performance DC / DC and AC / DC power supplies up to 1kW. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in power electronics and a proven track record of successful power supply designs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and Development:
1. Lead the design and development of DC / DC and AC / DC power supply systems up to 1kW.
2. Create detailed electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs.
3. Develop innovative solutions to meet performance, efficiency, and cost targets.
2. Prototyping and Testing:
1. Build and test prototypes to verify design performance and reliability.
2. Perform detailed design verification testing, including thermal analysis, EMI / EMC testing, and regulatory compliance.
3. Technical Leadership:
1. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of power supply designs into final products.
4. Documentation and Compliance:
1. Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
2. Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
5. Project Management:
1. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality designs.
2. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize design for manufacturability.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Experience: 8+ years of experience in power supply design, focusing on DC / DC and AC / DC converters. Proven track record of designing power supplies up to 1kW.
3. Technical Skills:
1. Deep understanding of power electronics, magnetics, and thermal management.
2. Proficiency in simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB / Simulink, or equivalent.
3. Hands-on experience with PCB design software (e.g., Altium, Eagle, OrCAD).
4. Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., UL, IEC, CE).
4. Soft Skills:
1. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
2. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
3. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
5. Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with digital control of power supplies.
2. Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
