We are looking for a seasoned professional for the role of Application Integration Architect.
As a pivotal member of our central Integration Team, you will plan, coordinate, architect, and supervise all activities related to the integration of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions as required to meet the business requirements of the organization. This individual is also responsible for developing and maintaining an application integration architecture blueprint for the organization.
The new position will be located in Madrid although his/her scope will be European. He/she will be part of the European Application team and directly reporting to the Head of Data Analytics & Integration.
Occasionally, it will be required to participate in others projects or applications to provide technical assistance to the different teams. Europe travels could be required occasionally.
What you'll do:
* Develop and maintain an integration architecture blueprint for the organization.
* Ensure that integration planning and practices are aligned with strategic business goals and the company’s overall strategic vision.
* Develop a deep understanding of technical solutions developed, synthesize complex analytics-derived insights into easy to understand, actionable recommendations that business users can easily extract and execute on.
* Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
* Contribute to analyze, design and implement RESTful services (APIs) within the integration architecture standards.
* Work with project teams in definition of requirements for integration requests of their projects into the Enterprise Architecture. Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
* Manage internal resources as well as augmented or externally sourced team members. Where necessary, provide guidance to junior members of the team.
* Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
* Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives.
* Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of newly-integrated software programs and applications.
* Build relationships with vendors of application software deployed in the organization’s IT environment to learn about and provide feedback on their technical integration capabilities.
* Work with Product Owner(s) to shape the end-to-end product strategy and determine business value.
* Research and make recommendations on integration products and services in support of procurement and development efforts. Analyze emerging technologies and influencing technology decisions and direction of project solutions.
* Provide established guidelines, standards, methodologies, and conventions.
Job requirements
What you'll need to succeed:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related field or equivalent work experience.
* Proven experience (>5 years) in a similar role, working as an Enterprise Architect or Integration Architect. Official certifications will be desirable.
* Fluent written and spoken in English and Spanish.
* Proven experience in developing enterprise and solution level architectural designs.
* Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
* Extensive experience with core software applications, including MuleSoft and Microsoft Azure API Management Services.
* Experience with the implementation of Continuous Integration practices (Azure DevOps)
* Experience working with API’s from commercial software applications, such as CRM or ERP systems (SAP, JDE, Dynamics)
* Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques. Excellent knowledge of SQL language (T-SQL preferred)
* Web development (C# / .net ) technology related experience is a plus.
* Experience in Agile methodologies including Scrum and traditional waterfall approach.
* Outstanding communications skills to be able to effectively interface with high level business owners, key-users and IT specialists.
* Problem solving/support-oriented attitude, proactive, result-oriented.
