ROLE SUMMARY:
Sotogrande International School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Nanos/Megas Camp Monitor One to assume this role for our Summer Camps in Sotogrande. The Nanos/Megas Camp Monitor leads groups of young campers (ages 4-7) in a fun and safe multi-activity camp environment. Monitors will plan and run daily activities such as sports, arts and crafts, games, and trips, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for each child. They will be responsible for the campers' well-being and development, fostering teamwork, cooperation, and a supportive atmosphere. The role requires creativity, energy, and experience working with young children.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre-Arrival:
Attend training, familiarize with camp policies, and complete online child safety training. Ensure understanding of health and safety protocols before arrival.
Main Responsibilities:
Plan and lead a variety of activities for Nanos (4-5 years old) and Megas (6-7 years old), including sports, arts and crafts, games, and excursions. Create a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging participation and respectful behavior. Monitor campers' progress and report on welfare concerns. Promote teamwork and cultural exchange. Ensure campers' safety and supervise them during all activities.
General Staff Duties:
Adhere to camp guidelines and uniform policy. Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and hygiene. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth camp operations. Monitor behavior and discipline campers as needed. Participate in arrival and departure duties. Ensure campers respect camp facilities and equipment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Experience working with children aged 4-7 in a fun, dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to design and run engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. Experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. A degree in Education or Early Childhood Education is a plus. Fluent in English, Spanish, or French (native level preferred). CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
* Contract from 26th June to 2nd August 2025 (includes training). 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. €490 weekly wage + additional pay for Arrival Day tasks. Accommodation, meals, and supportive management structure included. Professional and personal development opportunities.
