Assets & Liabilities Operations Accounting Control Expert (Openbank)

Mission and Responsibilities:
1. Definition and certification of accounting schemas for Assets and Liabilities products related to a new Core Banking for Model Bank and new branches related to our international growth strategy.
2. Analysis, definition, implementation, and validation of the controls needed to ensure the correct accounting end-to-end behavior of the Openbank’s Cores.
3. Design and validate new control tools linked to the accounting control (queries, reports, dashboards, etc.).
4. Define and implement new procedures, together with local Banking Operations and corporate units, in order to execute and report the results of the control model.
5. Guarantee the accounting control during migration and coexistences between our current and future Cores.
6. Ensure control model execution and its efficiency once in production.
7. BAUs monitorization/execution, ongoing search for efficiency.
To be successful in the role you must have:
1. Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree related to Business Administration or Engineering.
2. Advanced English and Spanish. International working experience would be an asset.
3. More than 7 years of proven experience in the banking sector, preferably in operations area and/or accounting control.
4. Expert knowledge and experience of the different products of Assets (Loans and Mortgages) and Liabilities (Current Accounts, Saving Accounts and Deposits).
5. Experience creating accounting controls within the banking sector and knowledge of regulatory reporting and accounting in banks.
6. Team spirit, great organizational and communication skills.
7. Experience in leading teams, internal teams and/or external providers.
8. Proactive, used to work in dynamic environments and tight deadlines, with multitasking skills, great adaptation skills and interest in learning and gaining new abilities.
9. Motivated by and interested in innovation and technology advances in the banking sector.
10. Consultant experience or being involved in IT transformation and accounting migrations projects would be appreciated.
11. Knowledge of T24, JIRA, Confluence, Partenón, Microstrategy, Clarity or reconciliations tools would be an asset.
12. SQL or experience in working with databases would also be valued.
