The Standard is looking for a bright, experienced, and passionate Sales & Marketing Coordinator to join the team at The Standard’s second outpost outside of the USA, in Ibiza. The role consists of supporting and assisting with the property’s brand partnerships, social media, digital marketing, events & programming, local campaigns, and some small design tasks; along with supporting the on-property Sales team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about culture and people in all its forms.
This position reports directly to the Senior Marketing Manager (London-based) and the Sales Director on property for day-to-day tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
SOCIAL MEDIA / PROMOTIONS / WEBSITE MAINTENANCE
* Assist with the digital media presence and content: help update the company website and third-party sites.
* Coordinate social media initiatives for the property including Facebook and local Instagram accounts.
* Act as community manager and planner for certain social channels – post, share and respond to comments and messages in the Standard tone-of-voice - and work with Marketing and Digital Director to amplify efforts across branded channels.
* Coordinate marketing requests from the wider business and oversee end-to-end production of these assets.
* Work with the Sales team to help manage digital marketing efforts, including PPC and other digital marketing ads via our Digital Media Agency.
SALES & EVENTS COORDINATION
* Supporting the Director of Sales with daily administrative tasks and client management.
* Supporting the Groups & Events department with rooming lists and event planning.
* Assisting the team with Site inspections, FAM Trips, etc.
PR / PHOTOSHOOT
* Help manage all Media/PR requests and work directly with our PR agency to ensure all daily property initiatives are communicated in a timely manner.
* Support on all photo and film shoot requests and work with PR for approval and execution with the hotel. Work directly with the property to effectively execute any shoots and their needs.
COLLATERAL / ADMINISTRATIVE
* Assist in creating comprehensive recaps for key initiatives.
* Produce quick and effective copy for hotel collateral and content.
* Be the point of contact for all hotel communication (flyers, signs, eblast, etc.) – work in parallel with the in-house design team, respective department, and the corporate office.
Requirements:
* Fluent in Spanish & English.
* You're not afraid of the hustle. We are a small team, so for the most part, it's an all-hands-on-deck environment. Success at The Standard means rolling up your sleeves and embracing what comes your way with enthusiasm.
* You don’t need a hospitality background but you do need passion. Marketing, social media, hospitality, and of course, culture (music, art, film, etc.) Enthusiasm is mandatory.
* You're savvy with your resources and a creative problem solver.
* You’re self-motivated and a team player.
* You are super organized, an amazing planner, and able to manage lots of projects at once while seamlessly handling inbound requests from colleagues and leaders.
* Ideally, you have at least 2+ years of experience in a similar position.
