We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team and support chargeback projects. While prior chargeback experience is not required, the ideal candidate will have strong analytical, financial, and data management skills, combined with the ability to learn and adapt quickly. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in finance, data analysis, or business who are looking to develop expertise in chargeback models and financial allocation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather and validate financial and operational data from various sources to ensure accuracy for chargeback analysis and reporting.
* Analyze costs and expenses to support the allocation of charges to different departments or business units, ensuring transparency and fairness.
* Assist in the preparation of regular chargeback reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate cost allocations and financial performance to stakeholders.
* Quickly develop an understanding of chargeback models, IT financial management principles, and cost allocation methodologies through on-the-job training and professional development.
* Provide support in the implementation and maintenance of chargeback processes, including data entry, model setup, and analysis.
* Work closely with internal teams (finance, IT, operations) to ensure smooth communication and understanding of the chargeback process.
* Assist in identifying inefficiencies or discrepancies in data and processes, suggesting improvements to optimize financial accuracy and efficiency.
* Learn and use financial tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other chargeback-specific platforms) to analyze data and create visualizations.
Required Qualifications:
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and analyze large data sets using advanced formulas and pivot tables.
* Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Basic knowledge of financial principles, cost accounting, or budgeting processes.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Highly motivated, with a willingness to learn new concepts, systems processes and adapt in a dynamic environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with financial analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar software.
* Basic knowledge of cost allocation or chargeback models (on-the-job training will be provided).
* Experience with financial systems and databases (ERP, accounting software, etc.)
* Proven experience working in finance, accounting, or a related field.
