International Payroll Specialist - Ebury Malaga
Work Pattern: 4 days in the office, 1 day from home
Role Overview:
The Global Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in processing payroll across multiple countries, joining our payroll team in our central Malaga office.
About the role
* End to end processing of bi-monthly and monthly payrolls as part of a small team.
* Analysis and documentation of each country’s control framework and payroll processing guidance.
* Ad hoc project support.
* Manage relationships with various stakeholders (i.e., Finance, HR, etc.) and the payroll provider to ensure end-to-end process excellence.
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
* Performing reconciliations and audit tasks for monthly payrolls.
* Stay up to date with local payroll regulations.
* Support Finance teams with month-end close and reporting activities.
* Regularly review payroll processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and reliability.
* Attend to all escalated and critical payroll-related issues on a timely basis.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years’ experience of processing payroll across multiple countries.
* Experience of working with a global payroll provider/system.
* Experience in working with manual processes undergoing automation transformation.
* Process documentation and control framework building/writing.
* Ability to take ownership of payroll processes.
* Problem-solving mindset & positive attitude.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
* Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.
* Advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup and other formulas).
