Reporting to the Global Head of Security & Business Resilience, the Regional Security Lead is the center of excellence in the field of Security & Business Resilience within their designated region covering Trafigura, its subsidiaries, divisions and Joint ventures. Accountable for development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of a Regional Security Management programme supporting Trafigura teams & sites in execution and implementation of security controls. The role works across subsidiary, division and facility HSSE professionals and Leadership teams. The role is also responsible for providing security and business resilience support to Trafigura's offices in the assigned region. The position as Regional Security Lead in Trafigura requires physical security skills and expertise, risk management understanding and know-how within physical security design, contracts, and the ability to ensure implementation of physical security management systems, procedures, security supplier KPI's and associated technology. The position requires relocation to Montevideo, Uruguay (arranged by the company).
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
* Previous experience with physical security and risk management processes and procedures. Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate security department.
* Understanding of security risk management within global organisations.
* Recognized degree in business/resilience/risk management/ASIS CPP.
* Experience with travel security risks and advice.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Able to independently produce material for training and awareness.

* Communicates Effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

* Advanced level of English and Spanish is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management Support: support Regional Leadership teams to conduct threat & risk assessments and build security plans.
* Provide ad hoc security advice to leadership and partners.
* Support development and implementation of a security plan for the region, including within transportation, supply chain, B2B, B2C petrochemical business, logistics and extraction industry.
* Incidents: Respond to/support crisis/incident/emergencies that affect employees and/or assets including investigations and loss prevention strategies.
* Intelligence: Regional intelligence collection and analysis - to identify and anticipate threats/risks and mitigate or reduce them towards travellers, employees, physical assets, reputation, or overall operations.
* Contractors & Controls: Assessing contractor & control performance and proposing improvements based on threat & risk assessment.
* Education & Training: Fostering a security culture by educating and raising awareness across the region.
* Cooperation & Collaboration: Establishing cross-company/divisional collaboration optimising security resources across the region.
* Networking: Developing and maintain a regional network of internal stakeholders, external partners, local law enforcement and security providers to drive improvements across the region.
* Support facilities by consulting on physical security systems and processes.
* Support service efficiency improvements working closely with our vendors/partners and ensure the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
* Support travel security advice, monitoring and management.
