Job Summary
The Spa Supervisor provides leadership and direction to the spa team, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives. This role is responsible for monitoring spa facilities, enhancing guest engagement, and fostering a sales-driven culture among staff. Additionally, the Spa Supervisor will perform spa treatments and therapies as needed to support the team and enhance guest satisfaction. The Spa Supervisor is expected to actively promote spa services, products, and packages to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Operations:
* Maintain a welcoming and luxurious spa environment for all guests.
* Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
* Ensure seamless operations of all spa areas, including reception, treatment rooms, and relaxation spaces.
* Maintain complete knowledge of property management systems and manual procedures.
* Train staff on delivering top-tier customer service and guest engagement techniques.
* Address and resolve guest concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
* Monitor spa for any undesirable visitors, maintaining a secure and tranquil atmosphere.
* Perform spa treatments and therapies to maintain high service standards and assist in busy periods.
Sales & Revenue Generation:
* Lead, motivate, and train spa staff in sales techniques, upselling, and cross-selling spa treatments, retail products, and membership programs.
* Monitor daily and weekly sales targets, ensuring performance aligns with revenue goals.
* Develop and implement promotional strategies to increase spa bookings and retail sales.
* Drive pre-booking and guest retention initiatives to encourage repeat visits.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute compelling spa promotions, packages, and special events.
* Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for revenue growth and implement improvement strategies.
* Research and resolve disputed charges to maintain guest satisfaction while ensuring revenue integrity.
Team Leadership & Training:
* Provide ongoing training and coaching to spa staff to enhance sales, service excellence, and product knowledge.
* Ensure team members are well-versed in all spa services, treatments, and retail offerings.
* Monitor staff adherence to cash handling and sales procedures.
* Maintain team morale and encourage a results-driven, customer-centric culture.
Administrative & Compliance:
* Maintain accurate records of sales, guest history, and service trends to optimize business strategies.
* Ensure staff certifications and training are up to date to comply with industry regulations.
* Adhere to and enforce all hotel and spa safety, security, and hygiene standards.
* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
* Ensure compliance and spa-specific health and safety protocols.
* Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Prior experience in a supervisory role within a spa, hospitality, or luxury retail environment.
* Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and train a team in a high-end service setting.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in property management systems and point-of-sale software.
* Knowledge of spa services, treatments, and skincare products is an advantage.
* Certified and trained in performing spa treatments and therapies.
