Position Title: Specialist, Multimedia & eLearning Designer (PG24)
Location: Bangalore
Position Summary:
Johnson & Johnson is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Multimedia & eLearning Designer to join our dynamic team in Manila or Bangalore.
In this role, you will produce short-form reel-style and animated explainer videos while supporting the development of interactive learning media.
You will collaborate with learning experience designers, e-learning developers, quality assurance specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver visually compelling, brand-aligned, and accessible learning content.
Instructional design and content writing are not part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Production & Motion Graphics:
Conceptualize and produce 2D animated and reel-style videos, overseeing the full process (storyboarding, design, editing, motion graphics, sound) using Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
2. Interactive eLearning Media Development:
Develop storyboards and interactive e-learning materials in Articulate Storyline and Rise, focusing on engaging layouts, animations, and video inserts.
3. Design & Layout:
Develop professional presentation decks using PowerPoint, integrating multimedia components to boost visual engagement.
Create clean, structured page layouts for PDF-based learning materials using Adobe InDesign to ensure brand consistency.
4. Concept Development & Storytelling:
Use Design Thinking to develop visual concepts that align with project goals and audience needs.
Translate ideas into visual narratives that enhance user experience.
5. Design Systems & Brand Consistency:
Contribute to visual design systems to ensure brand consistency across all assets.
Support the creation of style guides and maintain asset libraries for design uniformity.
6. Agile Project Management:
Apply Scrum and Agile methodologies to drive collaborative and iterative development.
Monitor milestones and align project outputs with KPIs and OKRs.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with cross-functional teams, including learning strategists, eLearning developers, quality assurance, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment with project requirements and meet business partner expectations.
8. Mobile & Responsive Design Optimization:
Optimize designs for various screen sizes and platforms.
Understand how visual assets adapt to responsive frameworks to maintain a consistent look and feel across devices.
9. Quality Assurance & Design Standards:
Ensure all visual designs meet quality standards and accessibility guidelines, paying close attention to typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
10. Innovation & Technology Integration:
Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies, including Generative AI.
Introduce new visual approaches and creative storytelling methods to improve content and workflows.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Visual Arts & Communications, or a related field.
Required:
3+ years of professional design experience with advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Proven track record in video production and motion graphics (portfolio or showreel required).
Experience creating short-form reel-style videos for quick, engaging messaging.
Familiarity with Articulate Storyline and Rise for multimedia integration.
Strong PowerPoint skills for designing eye-catching presentation decks.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working with cross-functional teams to refine visuals.
Outstanding attention to detail and time management skills.
Sound knowledge of graphic design principles (layout, typography, color theory, and branding).
Ability to adhere to design systems and brand guidelines.
Conceptual thinking and storytelling skills for compelling visual narratives.
Project management experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, plus effective stakeholder engagement.
Strong proficiency in English and a commitment to a positive work culture.
Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Preferred:
Background in visuals for digital learning content and familiarity with instructional design principles.
Familiarity with design thinking and web design best practices for various digital platforms.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA).
Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Planner, Power Apps, Power Automate, CoPilot).
Passion for leveraging digital technologies and automation to enhance learning.
Other:
Ability to travel up to 5% in alignment with business needs and company policies.
