The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Mainland Europe education team based in Valencia, Spain. This role is pivotal in driving Flywire's growth within the education sector by identifying, qualifying, and engaging potential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct outbound cold calling to potential educational institutions across Mainland Europe to introduce Flywire's payment solutions.
2. Develop and execute targeted email campaigns to engage and nurture leads.
3. Leverage social media and other digital channels to identify and engage potential leads.
4. Utilize tools to automate email campaigns and streamline prospecting efforts.
5. Perform in-depth market research and analysis to identify and segment client niches.
6. Keep detailed reports of the status of contacted accounts and manage follow-up actions.
7. Track, manage, and report on sales activities and pipeline development using Salesforce.
Client Engagement:
1. Qualify leads and schedule meetings between potential clients and Flywire’s sales executives.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target institutions.
3. Present Flywire's value proposition effectively to prospective clients in Spanish, English, and French.
Market Research & Strategy:
1. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
2. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and strategies to drive lead generation.
3. Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events across Europe to promote Flywire and establish new connections.
4. Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other sales materials.
5. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment on goals and strategies.
6. Provide feedback and insights to help refine Flywire’s product offerings and sales approach.
Organization & Reporting:
1. Maintain an organized workflow, ensuring timely follow-up with leads and prospects.
2. Regularly update Salesforce with accurate and up-to-date information on all sales activities.
3. Prepare and present weekly reports on sales metrics, pipeline status, and business development activities.
4. Report directly to the Mainland Europe Sales Director.
Here’s What We’re Looking For:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven track record in a business development or sales role, preferably within the education or financial services sector.
3. Extensive experience with cold calling, lead generation, and email campaigns.
4. Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
5. Highly motivated and results-driven with a passion for sales and business development.
6. Experience in the public sector and familiarity with public tender process in European Countries.
7. Comfortable with traveling across Europe to attend conferences, trade shows, and client meetings.
8. Adaptable and quick to learn in a rapidly evolving industry.
9. Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to segment client niches effectively.
10. Exceptional communication skills with fluency in Spanish, English, and French (both written and verbal).
11. Proficient in Salesforce, social media marketing, and digital lead generation tools.
12. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
13. Outgoing personality with an energetic, can-do attitude.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
