The Turbine Control Department
The Turbine Control department is an integral part of the Siemens Gamesa Offshore Technology organization, which forms the core of our technological leadership. We continuously aim to be best in class and we are looking for a Chief Engineer within the field of Turbine Control.
How to Contribute to Our Vision
The Turbine Control department consists of more than 50 dedicated engineers in Spain, Denmark, and India. We deliver competitive and high-quality control solutions that optimize the annual energy production of our offshore and onshore wind turbines, without compromising the structural integrity and operational constraints in the sub-systems.
We work on the forefront of technology and new product development. We play a decisive part from the initial ideation of new control concepts to the final type certification of the solutions and new products. To do so, we develop and maintain our advanced in-house model-based control development framework and the tool chains that support it.
Our markets and customers are international and so are our teams. We are a part of the Loads and Control Systems module where we collaborate closely with our sister departments in Loads, System Level Control, and Project Management. We are international, and our daily work is in English as we have colleagues in the US, India, France, and Denmark across the Loads and Control Systems module.
As Chief Engineer within Turbine Control, we expect you to:

* Collaborate with modules across the organization, gather requirements, and represent the department/area.
* Provide technical guidance to projects and team members within the field of Turbine Control.
* Collaborate in scoping of new technology development projects as well as develop and maintain technology roadmaps related to the turbine control domain.
* Contribute to frameworks and processes that encompass design manuals and links to the technical quality, robustness, and feasibility of deliverables in technology and projects.
* Offer counsel on patent matters, review patents, and make assessments for internal applications.
* Be part of the Chief Engineer community within the Loads and Control Systems module, representing the turbine control domain.
* Be a team player, capable of supporting multiple projects simultaneously, and contributing to driving progress in various areas.
