Global Responsibility
Identify, research, evaluate and pursue mainly in-licensing business development opportunities that will contribute to the organization’s short and long-term business goals.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Identify and evaluate innovative drug development opportunities from pre-clinical through commercial stage.
2. Identify partnership or acquisition opportunities through networking, attending scientific sessions, monitoring pipelines, news, and industry leaders.
3. Evaluate potential targets, managing the cross-functional process involving relevant team members in R&D, contract manufacturing, internal manufacturing, IP, and legal.
4. Prepare presentation and marketing materials for professional partnering meetings, seminars, and conferences for out-licensing.
5. Seek licensing of products or technologies to increase the portfolio.
6. Manage NPV analysis on each product pipeline candidate.
7. Structure in-licensing and co-development deals.
Accountabilities
1. New products identified and approved by the Board in the Portfolio Committee.
2. Co-developments signed with external companies.
3. Follow-up and support of development or commercial activity in new products.
4. New technologies and products brought to the Company.
Requirements and Personal Skills
Education: University Degree (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Medicine, and/or Biology); PhD is a plus.
Languages: Fluent Spanish and English are mandatory; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an in-licensing Business Development position in an international environment.
Specific Knowledge: Proven experience in deal-making, both in early stage and late stage deals is a must. Deal sheet is mandatory.
Travels: Willingness to travel as needed.
Personal Skills: Impact and influence, great communication and negotiation skills, interpersonal and multicultural mindset, sensitivity to market and trends evolution, good organizational skills, problem solving, and the ability to transmit credibility and maturity.
