Based in Barcelona, Spain, Gartner’s Health and Safety Regional Manager (EMEA) will manage H&S operations for Gartner’s business activities in the region supporting the development and implementation of the enterprise-wide health and safety program covering offices, remote workers, events, and conferences.The Health and Safety Regional Manager will drive the development and execution of the regional H&S program developing a cross-functional network of internal and external partners to support and drive the program, implement necessary processes and procedures, and help foster a culture of safety within the company.Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, assessing health and safety needs and risks, implementing safety programs and policies, and developing systems, procedures, and tools necessary to effectively integrate and implement corporate safety programs and policies at the country level.The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, be well organized and flexible, should enjoy the challenges of working on an entrepreneurial team, and must demonstrate professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive business information. The candidate must also demonstrate a commitment to enabling Gartner’s business through sound risk management practices and possess a no-limits, customer-service mindset.Reporting Relationship: The candidate will report to the Workplace Health and Safety Director.Key Responsibilities:Act as the Prevention Technician for Spanish business activities.Manage H&S operations for Gartner’s business activities in EMEA.Maintain the site safety assessment program, review reports of findings, make recommendations for improvements, and ensure corrective actions have been implemented.Manage site level safety committees, develop new committees as required.Partner with Gartner Real Estate, site leaders, and corporate services leaders to drive a successful, compliant H&S program.Provide H&S expertise to the Gartner Crisis Management and Business Continuity programs.Support corporate investigations where associate safety is, or may be, affected.Respond to H&S queries made by the business.Advise and consult with internal stakeholders and partners on H&S issues.Where appropriate, coordinate with emergency services, enforcement, and other relevant governmental functions, as well as private sector counterparts, to ensure Gartner’s H&S and emergency management policies and practices are aligned.Monitor H&S performance through key performance indicators and relevant metrics.Review end-to-end processes to identify potential innovations such as technology-enabled efficiencies.Manage third-party and vendor business relationships, including liaising with Gartner Procurement and overseeing contract terms and ensuring that all service level agreements are met.Keep apprised of emerging H&S issues where Gartner operates, including legislative and regulatory changes.Key Skills:Experience in developing, implementing and managing operational H&S programs in Spain.Experience in developing, implementing and managing H&S audit programs.Skill and competence in communicating issues to senior leadership, including demonstrated ability to present complex issues in clear, concise terms.Act as SME for H&S issues including risk assessment and control, workplace violence, pandemic planning and response, and travel safety.Key Qualifications:Qualified Higher Technician (“Técnico de prevención de nivel superior”), holding an approved degree in Spain specialized in health and safety at work as regulated by article 37.2 of Royal Decree 39 / 1997 of January 17.Experience in H&S and audit programs required.Strong technical, interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to read and process complex written information with a high degree of accuracy.Collaborative, team player who has a proven ability to identify and define objectives while managing resources within a budget plan.Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English (Italian preferred but not essential).Demonstrated presentation and communications skills and ability to speak to senior audiences with subject matter mastery.Special Requirements:The candidate should have the ability to travel up to 25% and have a current passport.The candidate may be required to work evening or weekend hours in the event of a safety or security incident.Must have performed similar duties in Spain, strong preference to those with broader EMEA experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
