Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team at ALTER TECHNOLOGY TÜV NORD S.A.U. in Madrid. As a Quality Assurance and Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for managing, evaluating, documenting, and updating the quality system, providing support and advice on quality aspects of laboratory operations, and conducting internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and evaluate the quality system, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
* Provide technical guidance and support to laboratory staff on quality-related matters.
* Conduct and participate in internal and external audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Oversee laboratory equipment management, including calibration and maintenance plans.
* Maintain and supervise activities related to test result validity, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
* Drive process improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Manage and follow up on internal incidents and customer complaints.
* Coordinate personnel qualification processes and implement the laboratory's technical training plan.
* Design, assess, and support laboratory training programs.
* Lead and coordinate digitalization projects across various laboratory areas.
* Develop and monitor critical laboratory key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Identify and implement automation opportunities to optimize laboratory processes.
Requirements:
* Degree or Master's in Engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications, Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace), Physics, or a related field.
* Alternatively, higher-level vocational training in Electronics or similar.
* Previous experience in testing and calibration laboratories, preferably in ENAC-accredited environments, with familiarity with ISO 17025.
* In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025 and quality requirements related to equipment, facilities, personnel competence, testing, and technical records.
* Experience with technical and quality documentation, including quality plans, technical justifications, and audit reports.
* Knowledge of digital transformation strategies and their application in laboratory environments.
* Experience in automation tools and methodologies for improving laboratory efficiency.
* Familiarity with data analysis techniques and software for process optimization.
* Quality-oriented, proactive, and autonomous working style with a strong team spirit.
* Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
