We are looking for a seasoned procurement specialist to provide support for the Maintenance & Repair (M&R) category within the Technical Professional Services group under Supplier Management (EP&S). This is a 12-month contract role to cover a maternity leave, with the flexibility to be based either in Europe or at our US offices in Winsted or Vernon Hills.
The consultant will take ownership of the M&R category, ensuring it aligns strategically with organizational goals, maintaining strong supplier performance, and fostering ongoing improvements and value generation.
We are seeking a seasoned Supplier Manager who can operate autonomously while actively engaging with business stakeholders and collaborating closely with the broader Supplier Management team across the organization. This role involves building and maintaining strategic supplier relationships, driving value creation, enabling supplier-led innovation, promoting ongoing improvements, and demonstrating a strong understanding of business needs.
What You'll Be Responsible For :
Category Leadership & Strategic Implementation :
Build deep expertise in the Maintenance & Repair (M&R) category to unlock supplier potential and deliver business value.
Lead strategic sourcing efforts to ensure procurement strategies are in line with overall company goals.
Oversee governance of the category by managing costs, monitoring supplier performance, and minimizing risks.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement :
Serve as a reliable advisor to the Services team by getting involved early in procurement planning and decisions.
Partner closely with internal teams to align procurement approaches with operational and financial objectives.
Drive sourcing initiatives, negotiate with suppliers, and manage contracts in line with the category strategy.
Cultivate strong supplier relationships to promote innovation, drive efficiencies, and reduce costs.
Ensure that suppliers meet agreed standards for quality, delivery timelines, and contract terms.
What We're Looking For :
Around 5 years of experience in procurement or a solid background in business development.
Familiarity with the Services Maintenance & Repair category is a strong advantage.
Excellent analytical abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Proven track record in leadership, communication, and navigating change.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across teams and break down silos through informal leadership.
Fluent English skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organized, self-driven, and adaptable—able to thrive independently and in team settings within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Passionate about enhancing team performance and operational efficiency.
