If you dream about spending the day on the Moon, but you are one of those who get sick on bendy drives... Your place is here!
We are expanding our teams in the space sector to take on space surveillance and tracking projects.
We´ll get to the point; we'll tell you what's not on the web. If you want to know more about us go to GMV website.
WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
GMV is a leading company in the space sector, particularly in SST and STM. In our team you will be involved in activities within the areas of Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) and Space Traffic Management (STM), including R&D tasks, software development and related engineering and operational activities.
SST and STM are becoming more and more relevant topics in the space sector due to the need to manage the traffic of the population of objects orbiting the Earth, both space debris and operational satellites, which is growing rapidly nowadays and is expected to increase even more dramatically due to the launch of mega-constellations. In particular, GMV is increasing its activities related to a wide range of functions within SST and STM systems, such as space debris catalogue maintenance, conjunction assessment and collision avoidance, sensor network coordinated planning, SST system operations, etc.
You will be integrated in a multidisciplinary team located across several countries and with several projects currently on-going, either for the development of SST systems, for the execution of studies demonstrating new models or concepts of operations, or the direct operation of SST systems to provide SST services to actual SST users (satellite O/Os, institutions).
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
At GMV we use cutting-edge technologies to develop the solutions of the future. For this position we are looking for aerospace engineering graduates who bring new ideas, new ways of working and, above all, a passion for the challenges of the space sector.
We need you to have knowledge in orbital mechanics, flight dynamics, programming (Python, Bash, Java, C...) and MS Office. A good level of English is also required.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
Hybrid working model and 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside your usual geographical area.
Flexible start and finish times, and intensive working hours Fridays and in summer.
