2024 Software Development Graduate Engineer
Amazon’s Brisbane based software engineering teams own the critical last hop in outbound fulfillment of customer orders. The features you build have a direct impact on customers' lives. You will work with scientists and engineers to optimize fulfillment processes, reducing costs and improving quality. You will experiment with new ideas, turning the successful ones into full production systems whilst failing fast and learning from those which are not. We obsess over reducing the time and cost in fulfilling a customer's order.

1. Build cutting edge and highly distributed systems to enable world class, cost-effective, and flexible solutions.
2. Create customer facing software that’s used on Amazon sites worldwide.
3. Work on the A to Z of problems, at scale, for real customers.
4. Own the development of software end to end, from working with stakeholders on requirements through to owning the ongoing operations of the software that you build at scale.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Ability to code right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
2. Understand basic Algorithm fundamentals.
3. Development of code in object-oriented languages like C++ and Java and build large scale robust distributed systems.
Candidates for this role must have:
1. Completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology at university or relevant tertiary institution in the last 24 months.
2. Experience developing in a Linux environment.
3. Experience developing software on Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms.
