About the location:
The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca is perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and backed by panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean and the surrounding landscapes, the hotel was originally opened in 1929 within an expansive private estate. Currently undergoing restoration and renovation, this stunning historic property is scheduled to open its doors as a Four Seasons resort in June 2024.
About the role
Key Responsibilities:
* Beverage Service: Prepare and serve beverages, ensuring high standards in presentation, quality, and taste to enhance guest satisfaction.
* Customer Interaction: Engage warmly with guests, anticipate their preferences, and deliver memorable experiences.
* Menu Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of the drink menu, including ingredients, preparation techniques, and pairing suggestions to assist guests in making selections.
* Inventory Awareness: Monitor stock levels during shifts, promptly notifying the supervisor of any shortages.
* Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
* Compliance with Alcohol Laws: Adhere to local and national alcohol laws and regulations to ensure safe and legal service.
* Upselling and Promotions: Promote special offers and upsell beverages to maximize sales and enhance guest experience.
* Adaptability: Respond efficiently to the varying demands of peak service times and special events.
* Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with bar staff, kitchen staff, and management to provide seamless service.
Our Ideal Barman Candidate Will Have:
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in bartending, with solid knowledge of cocktail recipes and drink preparation.
* Mixology Skills: Proficiency in classic and modern cocktail techniques, with creativity in drink presentation and garnishing.
* Customer Service Orientation: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage with guests and enhance their experience.
* Attention to Detail: A focus on drink presentation, ensuring high-quality standards in every drink served.
* Sales and Upselling Skills: Ability to promote beverages and specials, contributing to increased sales.
* Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to manage high-volume service during peak hours with a positive and efficient approach.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety: Familiarity with safety and cleanliness standards, maintaining a safe environment for both staff and guests.
* Passion for the Industry: A genuine enthusiasm for bartending and the hospitality industry, staying informed on industry trends, new products, and cocktail innovations.
* Team Player: Willingness to collaborate effectively with other team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
* Must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in English and Spanish.
