The role
We are looking for an Automation Control Engineer who is qualified to perform the configuration, testing and commissioning of control systems in power generation plants. You will be responsible for equipment parameterization, control tests and commissioning execution, ensuring compliance with SAT (Site Acceptance Test) and SIT (System Integration Test) tests.
Your key responsibilities:
* Integration of Plant Controller and certified SW platforms, as well as the configuration and loading of the necessary libraries for the Drivers of inverters, meters, Distribution System Operators and approved third party PPC.
* Reverse engineering of devices, PLC, plants and/or protocols, as well as PLC programming in new and old projects.
* Commissioning and testing support in national and international projects.
* Develop, configure and load meteorological and third party drivers.
* Integration of communications between Plant SCADA, Plant and Plant Controller, as well as Failover integration and Commissioning for the project.
* Perform internal deployment testing in FAT and support for engineering-led SAT Software and SIT testing, as well as punchlist and incident tracking.
* Continuous flow with PPC Product for platform enhancements and issues.
* Hardware/Software protocol conversion.
* Solutions to needs (Hardware and Software) of the departments, as for example the design and creation of datalogger.
* Managing instrumentation, industrial communications and industrial SCADAs (WinCC, Cimplicity, PCVue, ...).
* Adaptation and integration of third party systems to Bluence and PPC.
Your skills and experience:
* Between 1 and 5 years of experience as an Integration Engineer, ideally within the Renewable Energy sector.
* Experience and knowledge of PLC automation systems and PLC languages (Siemens, SEL, Codesys)
* Previous experience in product development in technology companies is highly desirable.
* Experience in performing FAT, SAT and communication tests for system validation.
* Knowledge of industrial communication networks, commissioning of automatic systems with PLC.
* Knowledge of Electrical systems, generation and distribution
* Knowledge of TIA Portal and ACselerator environments
* Programming knowledge (such as C/C++, .NET and Python)
* Orientation to results and teamwork.
* A good level of English is highly valued to support international projects.
* Education and training in Automation and Industrial Robotics or electronic systems is preferred although an Engineering background in Industrial, Electronic, Energy or related fields is also considered.
