At Deimos, we're on a mission to revolutionize space technology. With projects for the European Space Agency (ESA) and the commercial market, we develop cutting-edge solutions for space systems. Join a team where innovation meets excellence, and your contributions shape the future of space exploration.
What's the challenge?
As a Senior Operations Engineer, you’ll be integrated into our Functional Avionics (FAV) Competence Centre at one of our European sites (Tres Cantos, Harwell, Lisbon, Puertollano, or Italy). You will support new growth areas in Functional Verification, contributing to the development of state-of-the-art avionics architectures and more.
Your contributions will include:
* Defining and analyzing top-level designs and requirements for space systems.
* Crafting and analyzing operational concepts.
* Designing and defining FDIR (Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery).
* Creating and maintaining flight operations documentation including CONOPS, Operational Plans, Flight Operational Procedures, User Manuals, etc.
* Defining, analyzing, and making decisions on space systems architectures.
* Verifying and validating flight operations plans, processes, and procedures.
* Preparing, executing, and reporting on Spacecraft Validation Test (SVT) and System Operational Validation (SOV) campaigns.
* Collaborating with spacecraft subsystems and software teams to define use cases for on-ground and on-orbit operations.
* Representing Deimos’ technical team with external stakeholders (e.G., customers, suppliers, partners, institutions, regulators).
* Training junior team members.
