Granada ImproFest invites artists from all disciplines to participate in its 2025 edition, which will take place over four days in Granada, Spain, in November 2025. This international festival focuses on improvisation and interdisciplinary arts, offering a unique space for collective creation, cultural exchange, and professional development.
The festival, which has been alternating between Denmark and Spain since 2023, has become a reference in the contemporary art scene due to its promotion of collaboration between artists from various disciplines and cultures.
GIF 2025 will feature a four-day programme that includes concerts, workshops, talks, interdisciplinary jams, and educational activities. In addition, it will highlight its intensive artistic residency, where participants will collaborate under the guidance of experts, culminating in a collective performance at the close of the event.
The festival includes:
* Interdisciplinary creation space with local and international artists.
* Intensive artistic residency with collective creation sessions facilitated by members of the festival team.
* Opportunities to present personal projects and participate in formative activities such as workshops and talks.
* Direct interaction with the audience through performances and educational activities.
* Connection with an international network of artists and cultural agents.
* Documentation of the presented project.
This open call is aimed at individual artists or groups of up to 3 members from any artistic discipline, with at least one member based in Denmark or Spain. Priority will be given to those with experience in free improvisation, interdisciplinary collaboration, or work in educational and community contexts.
The festival provides accommodation during the festival for international artists and a fee of 300 EUR per resident artist.
