Job Description
As Engagement Manager, Global Operational Pricing Excellence, you will be responsible for working with customers to understand their needs, develop project plans, and coordinate project activities. The Engagement Manager will lead projects focusing on the operational aspects of the pricing function – processes, organization, systems, and tools. You will ensure that client projects are delivered to schedule while maintaining the highest level of quality and value expectations.
You will oversee and guide a team of consultants, leading analysis focused on the efficiency of the operational pricing work, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions for improvement. Initially, you will support the preparation of final deliverables, guide, and provide feedback to consultants and analysts. Effective Engagement Managers are expected to contribute to business development through the development of proposals for new and existing customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Our Engagement Managers are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of the project team. These results are achieved by:
1. Managing teams including both internal and external resources in the design, development, and delivery of client analyses and deliverables.
2. Providing follow-up with clients after project deliverables have been completed to ensure client satisfaction.
3. Leveraging business experience and acumen to identify strategic alternatives and project approaches to client questions.
4. Performing client interviews to collect insights and evaluate the status quo to assess organizational pricing maturity and inform improvement road maps.
5. Identifying new business opportunities with new and existing clients, generating leads, developing proposals, and sales and marketing collateral as required.
Qualifications
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
1. 7+ years of experience in operational consulting (e.g., PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, etc.).
2. Additional experience in the pharmaceutical or medical/health industry is a plus.
3. A demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects, own analyses, and deliverable development.
4. Strong conceptual, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication skills and understanding of change management hurdles.
6. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
You must have the ability to utilize large amounts of data from multiple sources to complete a final analysis of business questions and make recommendations. Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% of the time.
