To support our Animal Nutrition Business, which provides natural feed additives, dedicated to enhancing animal nutrition and performance, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Area Manager in Spain to drive further business growth in the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
Role Description
The Sales Area Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding our business in Spain and Portugal. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the feed industry within these markets, with a preference for more than 10 years. They should possess strong relationships with key accounts, a proven track record of business development, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with existing distributors. The role requires maintaining current business, developing new opportunities and projects, and spending at least 50% of their time visiting customers. The candidate will receive support from the internal technical team to ensure success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage a B2B customer portfolio in Spain and Portugal.
* Promote products and customized nutritional solutions to improve performance.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts across different regions.
* Work closely with current distributors to optimize performance and explore new business opportunities.
* Identify, develop, and execute new sales strategies to expand market share.
* Collaborate with the internal technical team to provide technical support and solutions to clients.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt strategies accordingly.
* Attend industry fairs and events to promote the company and its products.
* Ensure regular customer visits (minimum 50% travel time) to strengthen relationships and drive business growth.
* Report on sales performance, market developments, and business opportunities.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the feed industry in Spain and Portugal, ideally more than 10 years.
* Established network and strong relationships with key accounts in the region.
* Proven ability to develop and execute business growth strategies.
* Experience working with distributors and direct customers.
* Strong knowledge of the poultry and swine sectors;
experience in ruminants, pet, or aqua feed is a plus.
* Highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven professional.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team.
* Willingness to travel extensively (at least 50% of the time).
* Fluent in Spanish and English;
Portuguese is a plus.
* Residence in Spain or Portugal.
