WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Manager Application Development you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and updating electronic data systems in accordance with the needs of the company. Activities include:
1. Evaluating, scheduling, and resourcing development projects.
2. Investigating user needs, writing, testing, and maintaining computer programs.
3. Preparing systems documentation.
4. Executing technical plans, system analysis, detailed design specifications, development, unit and component testing.
5. Providing advanced technical expertise in designing and developing software applications supporting complex projects.
6. Advising ways to apply technology to business processes.
7. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key customers.
8. Managing systems development and support activities for multiple applications and projects.
9. Assigning responsibilities, identifying and obtaining needed resources, and overseeing project plans.
10. Recommending and implementing improvements to the systems development process as needed.
11. Measuring, tracking, and publishing productivity metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
12. Participating in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the organization.
13. Driving enterprise cross-functional design decisions.
14. Overseeing maintenance and support of existing software applications.
15. Managing and monitoring systems testing process for new and/or enhanced applications.
16. Consulting with vendors, clients, and internal and external service providers.
17. Ensuring applications and processes meet internal and external audit and regulatory requirements.
EXPERIENCE
8-12+ Years Information Technology Technical Application Development Management or similar field.
8-12+ Years Proven record of applying technical expertise on multiple projects.
EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent field.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Software and/or hardware technical and programming expertise.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Sustained staff and project management skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Nice to have experience in the Bank sector working with middle and back offices applications.
