The BI & Reporting Lead will be responsible for designing and implementing the overall Business Intelligence & Reporting strategy within the organization. This role focuses on developing and maintaining reporting frameworks, data visualization solutions, and analytics tools to drive data-driven decision-making. It ensures data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility while aligning with business objectives and performance goals.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BI tools, data analytics, and reporting methodologies, combined with excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. This role requires the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate business needs into actionable insights, and enhance reporting capabilities to support strategic initiatives.
The BI & Reporting Lead plays a key role in optimizing business performance through effective reporting solutions and digital transformation efforts. They act as a strategic partner within the organization and report directly to the Global Architect & Data Director.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
* Proven experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting, with a strong technical background in data acquisition, storage, processing, and visualization for both operational and analytical domains.
* Extensive experience in data migration projects, transitioning high-volume datasets from legacy reporting systems to cloud-native BI solutions.
* Strong expertise in major ERPs (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft) with a track record of successful implementations and rollouts.
* Experience in complex, multi-country, multi-cultural, matrix environments, ensuring seamless collaboration and reporting consistency across global teams.
* Deep understanding of Data Governance, Data Security, Data Cataloging, and Data Lineage, ensuring compliance and data integrity within BI & reporting frameworks.
* Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills to lead and deliver large-scale BI & reporting initiatives.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
* Ability to align BI & Reporting with the overall business strategy, ensuring data-driven decision-making supports strategic goals.
* Strong communication skills to effectively articulate BI & reporting strategies, plans, and insights to stakeholders, business leaders, and IT teams.
* Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, manage challenges, and implement effective BI & reporting solutions.
* Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to data management, security, and reporting compliance.
* Familiarity with emerging BI technologies and trends, with the ability to evaluate and integrate innovative reporting tools and methodologies.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
* Effective team player, working collaboratively across IS/IT and business teams to drive BI & reporting success.
* Ability to influence and align stakeholders, ensuring buy-in and adoption of BI & reporting strategies and tools.
* Valuable knowledge of DAMA principles and experience working within its framework for data management and governance.
