OE is looking for an enthusiastic Procurement and Inventory Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone passionate about growth, and who aligns with our core values of: Respect Each Other, Be Responsive, Champion Safety, and Do the Right Thing.
Reporting to the COO, this role will be responsible for the procurement and monitoring of supplies, equipment, and services for the day-to-day operations of OE Utility Services. The focus will be on the “Five Rights”:
1. to get the “right material,”
2. at the right time,
3. to the right place,
4. in the right quantity, and
5. at the right cost.

Job Requirements:
1. Post-secondary education in purchasing, inventory control or supply chain management is preferred.
2. Practical hands-on experience with a variety of supply chain competencies including but not limited to: Lean visual workplace, demand pull systems, kanban, inventory control and analysis, VMI, safety stock, etc. is preferred.
3. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
4. Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
5. Sound planning, prioritization, and execution skills with the ability to assess the needs of the business and implement the best solutions.
Work Conditions:
1. Some travel within the GTA may be required.
2. Able to physically inspect company property and assets.
3. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
4. May be required to wear PPE (Hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses).
5. Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Purchase goods and services that meet quality, specification, and delivery requirements at the lowest overall cost for the company, while concurrently maintaining and building strategic relationships with key suppliers.
2. Optimize the replenishment process through VMI, Kanban, and visual controls to identify reorder points and maintain required inventory levels.
3. Track and manage the process from specification setting to order and delivery, and communicate with suppliers for delivery issues, damages, price, and other discrepancies.
4. Continuously improve and maximize processes to facilitate effective materials, parts, and services sourcing, clear identification and location of inventory, and visual-based monitoring of inventory consumption and quantities.
5. Manage 3rd party contractor and supplier relationships and maintain Service/Contract Agreements.
6. Ensure Safety Data Sheets ("SDS") are obtained for all regulated or hazardous items.
7. Perform key supplier evaluations at least annually using Total Cost of Procurement methods.
8. Special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities include effectively sourcing and ordering materials/services, parts/supplies, tracking orders, optimizing, and controlling inventory levels using lean and visual workplace tools.
