The product inspection systems function is the expert in programming, operating and maintenance of vision systems (IMD) and other product inspection systems (like spark testers, sensors etc). This function cooperates closely with production and reports directly to the plant Quality Manager.
The goal of this function is to increase the failure detection level and reduce pseudo scrap.

Description
* Point of contact for all internal questions referring to product inspection systems on the line (Vision systems, Spark tester, Sensors, Laser)
* Quality representative for all projects where inspection systems are required incl. planning and monitoring of project progress.
* Final inspection and approval of new inspection systems at supplier site (FAT) as well as installation and qualification on the company line (SAT)
* Maintenance of existing inspection systems together with relevant technical departments
* Calibration and monitoring of existing inspection systems; documentation of results
* Responsible for systematic system backup and individual program backup
* Definition of tolerances and acceptable values of existing inspection programs to minimize pseudo scrap and to increase the detection rate
* Training of production and technical colleagues in inspection system handling and solving of problems with an inspection system
* Standardization and continuous improvement of the existing inspection systems (e.g. roll out of updates and software upgrades, renewal of sensors, etc)
* Creation and revision of work instructions for the duties carried out in this role
* Implementation of Group Standards
* Holder of admin passwords (vision systems)
Profile
* Electro-technical background/ third party certified trained in working with electronic components
* Affinity with software/IT systems, programming, IT hardware
* Trained and certified for Specific vision systems (IMD)
* Good communication skills in English language
* Knowledge in plastics production technologies and related failures
* Team player
* Communication and collaboration across the Cluster / Inspection System Expert Community
* English written and spoken
