Software Development Engineer SDE
The mission of the EU INTech Consumer Selection Discovery teams is to help customers find, evaluate, and compare products they like, need, or want. Our vision is that every customer should be confident to find the best product for their specific needs and preferences at the best value with very low effort. We believe that every customer and their situation require specific attention, and so we build delightful shopping experiences that are tailored to the customers' mission. We innovate from EU for the WW customer. To achieve that, we partner with WW business and tech teams from Softlines, Consumables, Hardlines, and other platform/host teams.
We don't settle for an average one-size-fits-all and find the right CX for customers on each product family (PF) while delivering a cohesive sitewide CX.
Key Job Responsibilities
We are looking for software developer engineers who are passionate about solving highly ambiguous and challenging problems at a global scale. You will be responsible for major components of the team; you will design, develop, deliver, and support a variety of software applications in collaboration with a variety of roles and partner teams around the world. You will influence technical direction, drive operational excellence, best practices, and maintain quality on team deliverables. You will also have the opportunity to learn from high-performing software engineering teams and mentor junior members.
Remember you do not have to tick every box to apply for the role. If you are excited about joining us and think you have what we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
A Day in the Life
Our engineers work on various components of retail Search, Detail Page, Cart, Checkout, and Post-Purchase. We build end-to-end from idea, tech design to implementation and weblab experimentation. You will work directly with PMTs and UX designers on fleshing out software requirements.
While we own some components, do expect some away team work. For the services we own, be prepared for DevOps work - we optimize for having CI/CD and maintain an overall high OE bar.
About the Team
You will join an established diverse tech team of full-stack SDEs working across WW Stores tech stack and beyond. The team is based in Madrid (MAD15).
