Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Permanent US Residency or US Citizenship - Minimum of 5 years of experience in an health & safety role within the manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and OSHA standards
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to train and motivate staff in health & safety practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and health & safety management systems
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive health & safety policies and procedures
- Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments
- Coordinating and leading emergency response drills and real-life situations
- Managing and overseeing all aspects of facility and equipment maintenance
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives in safety and health practices
- Serving as the primary contact for regulatory body audits and inspections
- Facilitating training sessions for all employees on relevant safety, environmental, and maintenance protocols
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators and metrics related to health & safety and maintenance objectives
- Investigating accidents or incidents and implementing preventive measures
- Participating in reviews and assessment of risk management policies and protocols
- Managing hazardous substances and the disposal of waste materials
- Communicating safety policies, practices, and procedures throughout the company
- Staying up to date with current health & safety regulations and industry best practices
- Maintaining accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions
