Your mission
We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to be part of our Platform Engineering (DevOps) team, who are responsible for overseeing the development and operation of the tools and processes needed to deploy, manage, and monitor our applications in both on-premise and cloud-based environments.
Responsibilities of this role include ensuring our vision and roadmaps are in line with business objectives. You will work alongside other Platform and Database Engineers, Architects, other Product Owners, and our clients. You will interact with people across our entire company. It is a great opportunity to help us further mature the overall DevOps ecosystem, and to deliver impactful and scalable initiatives across the company.
You will be expected to stay up to date on new technologies, security, observability, platform orchestration, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practices.
What you'll do
* Capture, communicate, and validate requirements for the platform and infrastructure using a variety of techniques including workshops and interviews.
* Translate and develop platform roadmap capabilities into well-defined requirements including features, user stories, and defined acceptance criteria.
* Work with and set sprint goals for an Agile team of engineers by planning and clarifying user stories to ensure iterative customer value delivery.
* Participate in team demos and retrospectives ensuring feature demos are presented to stakeholders early and often.
* Work closely with Engineering and Product Managers to decompose program backlogs into iteration backlogs by just-in-time story elaboration.
* Work closely with Product Owners responsible for the customer-facing application to ensure alignment on features and roadmap delivery requirements.
* Work with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders including: design, architecture, security, engineering, and user enablement.
* Turn data insights into product features with actionable outcomes to the customer.
* Partner with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
What you'll bring
* Previously worked as a Product Owner or Technical Business Analyst within a software or technology-related business environment.
* Technical background with knowledge of software development, infrastructure, cloud environments, or web technologies.
* Proven experience in working with teams in large-scale software development projects or programs with a strong understanding of prototyping, iterative development, and Agile principles.
* A customer-focused mindset supported by design thinking.
* Experience working effectively with globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
* Excellent organizational skills, initiative, and personal accountability with a strong attention to detail.
* Desirable to have knowledge of Public and Private clouds and virtualization platforms: OpenStack, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS.
* An ability to manage time effectively, meet project deadlines, and work well under pressure.
* Full English proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
