Position Overview:
As part of the Office of Marketing and Communications (Marcom), the Marketing and Communications Project Manager drives day-to-day operations as well as strategic initiatives at the direction of the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. This position ensures the efficient and timely project management, production, tracking, fulfillment, and distribution of all department materials and assets. The incumbent will be the administrative lead for utilized platforms and manage the compilation of reporting metrics to track performance and inform decision making of the department. This role will also lead budget administration for the department, working with the VP to ensure a sound operating budget through processing of invoices and payments.
The Marketing and Communications Project Manager has a client-service approach when partnering with a diverse set of colleagues throughout the Institute, including deans, faculty, senior administrators, staff, students, alumni and external constituencies, including vendors. The Marketing and Communications Project Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years' experience managing budgets and projects is required. Hands-on experience in marketing and communications field is preferred, as well as a proven record of managing multiple marketing projects for traditional and digital media in a higher education learning environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
* Provide primary oversight for ongoing and varied projects that include print, digital, web, and other collaterals of significant strategic value to execute the Institute's overall marketing and communications goals and objectives.
* Meet with clients and work alongside Marcom team members to set client expectations and manage project flow.
* Direct projects submitted through project request form or alternative methods to Vice President of Marketing and Communications and/or members of Marcom team.
* Oversee project management database system, including department training and system troubleshooting.
* Serve as the administrative lead for Marcom-utilized programs, including project management and social media tools.
* Develop annual production calendars for recurring jobs and projects.
* Generate monthly, quarterly, biannually and annual analytics reports and analysis.
* Procurement and management of outside vendors, including printers and merchandise fabricators.
* Supervision of outside vendors to create marketing material from messaging through design, production and delivery.
* Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
* In collaboration with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, tracks expenditures and reconciles budget through payment of invoices and credit card purchases through Workday.
* Provide support for Vice President of Marketing and Communications' office needs.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Ability to solve day-to-day work department operational problems.
* Proven record and/or ability to manage marketing projects for traditional and digital media.
* Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
* Demonstrated strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
* Ability to handle a high-volume environment and balance responsibilities while maintaining a respectful demeanor.
* Ability to process invoices and payments through Workday system.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
* Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
* Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
* Available for occasional work on evenings and weekends, as event schedules may require.
Hours, Classification, and Status:
This is a regular, full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt position. The regular hours of this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Hours may vary due to the needs of the College or department.
Salary range: $75,000 - $80,000 annualized. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to maintain good concentration level while dealing with interruptions; attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy; capable of giving, receiving, and analyzing information; formulating work plans; and articulating goals and action plans. Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Standing for extended periods of time. Reaching and extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than the whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard. Communication skills using the spoken word. Ability to see within normal parameters. Ability to hear within normal parameters. Ability to bend and stoop, for example, to file. Ability to move about. Ability to lift and carry short distances up to 20 lbs., for example, to lift or move office supplies, files, books, and packages.
Ability to drive locally, depending on business needs. Occasionally, will be required to stand for prolonged periods of time at activities/events on and off-campus.
