The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for leading and supporting District Managers and Event Managers who oversee a part-time workforce of Sales Advisors executing Costco Vendor Events and CDS projects across Spain, France, and Sweden. This role ensures operational KPIs are consistently met while delivering a high-quality member experience. Working closely with Sales and Account Managers, field personnel, and various business support units, the Regional Operations Manager fosters operational excellence and consistency across all assigned markets.SupervisoryConduct regular market visits for performance reviews, warehouse audits, and Event Manager (EM) developmentOversee recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of field associatesLead and coach team to achieve performance goals; conduct weekly calls to share updates and set prioritiesProvide ongoing direction and support to Event Managers; manage performance reviews and development plansProject Scheduling / Coordination / Management / MaintenanceEnsure successful project execution by prioritizing and organizing multiple events across marketsPartner with local managers and Event Specialists to align on client and business goalsEnsure staffing and scheduling align with execution requirements, event manuals, and food safety standardsCustomer Relations (Internal / External)Build strong and consistent relationships with Costco Operations teams at the warehouse level and Regional team.Ensure client and vendor expectations are met through effective collaboration and field supportPersonnel DevelopmentConduct field observations of Event Managers and provide performance feedbackDevelop customized development plans for team members based on performance, potential, and succession needsAdministration / ReportingReview KPI reports and provide action plans based on trends and findings.Drive accountability to meet General Manager (GM) survey targets (goal: 9/10 rating)Budget / Expense ControlManage field expenses, supply inventory, and procurement to ensure fiscal disciplineEnsure accurate labor forecasting and maintain staffing within budget parametersEducation Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceField of Study/Area of Experience: Click here to enter text.5+ years of experience in Retail Operations Manager or Operations District Manager within the retail industry, hospitality industry, event marketing industry or food industry.10+ years of Supervisory experienceSkills, Knowledge and AbilitiesFluent in English, Spanish and FrenchStrong initiative and self-directed, ability to work independently with little or no supervisionStrong understanding and experience managing large remote sales team operationsAbility to work though others with strong delegation skillsStrong organizational and follow up skillsMathematical and analytical abilityStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong understanding of retail reporting systemsIntermediate to advanced PC skills; this includes a good understanding of spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation softwareTravel and/or Driving Requirements - Travel and Driving is an essential duty and function of this job - Travel up to 70%
