The Commissioning Manager for Europe will hold responsibility for overseeing and directing technical commissioning across projects within H&MV’s European territories, ensuring that commissioning standards, resource allocation, and safety protocols are met at a high level across multiple regional sites.
This role will report to the Group Commissioning Director for Europe. This role is open to candidates within different locations across Europe: Germany, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Regional Coordination: Coordinate commissioning across European territories, ensuring local compliance and safety standards.
2. Project Reporting: Provide real-time updates to regional Project Managers and commissioning engineers on all European projects.
3. Programme Oversight: Develop and monitor commissioning schedules, ensuring timely project milestones.
4. Team Leadership: Manage and support the European Commissioning team, conduct performance reviews, and drive team development.
5. Cross-Border Meetings: Lead monthly meetings to align on updates and logistics across territories.
6. Equipment Management: Oversee test equipment logistics, specifications, and calibration schedules across projects.
7. FAT Oversight: Direct critical equipment FAT processes in collaboration with regional Project Managers.
8. Plan Review: Ensure quality and compliance of commissioning plans before project kick-off.
9. Risk & Compliance: Conduct regular safety and progress audits across European sites.
10. Tender & Technical Support: Provide expertise for tender submissions and technical reviews aligned with European standards.
11. Sub-Contractor & Asset Management: Manage commissioning sub-contractors and support the asset management team on regional projects.
Skill / Requirements:
1. Third-Level Electrical Engineering Qualification
2. Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in HV projects across multiple European territories and ideally 5 years' of experience as a people manager leading teams across different regions.
3. Demonstrated project and people management capabilities.
4. IT literacy and proficiency with commissioning and project management software.
5. Cross-cultural management and stakeholder engagement skills.
6. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a multi-country setting.
7. Fluent English is a must; any additional languages would be beneficial.
8. Willingness to travel 50% of the time across Europe is a must.
