About you:
1. Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting/finance/economics or a related field.
2. 5+ years of increasingly responsible accounting experience in a similar or larger organization.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of a broad set of accounting principles (e.g., GAAP).
4. Experience in the use of automated accounting systems.
5. Proficient in MS Office skills.
6. Experience in a multicultural and multinational organization.
7. Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English and Spanish.
8. Proven skills in developing people and providing support, coaching, training, and career direction to others.
9. Excellent knowledge of Ingka's accounting and financial reporting rules, standards, and manuals, along with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
10. Excellent knowledge of how to plan and measure financial records in compliance with internal and external regulations, ensuring value for money in reaching business objectives and long-term profitable growth.
What you'll be doing day to day
1. Lead the development of the team based on the global finance, organizational, and people development direction to secure the right competencies, performance, and succession.
2. Develop, implement, and continuously improve effective and efficient Accounting & Reporting processes and routines.
3. Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities.
4. Ensure that team members are working according to the A&R manual as well as local GAAP.
5. Support the team with specific accounting and reporting-related questions.
6. Act as a trustworthy and professional business partner in Accounting & Reporting matters to offer the customer a seamless shopping experience.
7. Contribute to the business plan process and set clear goals and action plans together with the team in alignment with the business plan and function goals.
8. Coordinate and/or support internal and external audits, reviewing and following up on audit findings and recommendations.
9. Contribute to local and global projects from an A&R perspective.
10. Secure and maintain a connection with and between core areas, business owners, group functions, and process teams within the Ingka Group.
11. Ensure cross-organizational readiness and continued business growth in terms of competence, performance, and succession through enabling an end-to-end approach.
12. Ensure a safe environment for co-workers and external consultants and contractors in accordance with Ingka policies.
