The primary focus of the role is to provide financial and business process support to the technical and project management staff working on the boats. The role will also prepare monthly management and annual statutory reporting, including compliance with Spanish regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and guidance to project management staff to improve business processes to allow efficient quoting, tracking and invoicing of work.
* Producing monthly management reports with suitable analysis and commentary, including profitability by job.
* Motivating, coaching and appraisal of the local finance team.
* Preparing a thorough and meaningful balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring that discrepancies are actioned promptly.
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting with insightful analysis.
* Improving accounting processes to ensure that financial reporting is reliable and efficient.
* Working collaboratively with UK finance head office to manage Palma and Barcelona cash flow.
* Ensuring compliance with local fiscal regulations.
* Support with financial projects including the implementation of Microsoft Business Central.
Requirements
Knowledge
* Solid understanding of efficient accounting processes.
* Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
* Practical working knowledge of the capabilities of finance systems (current system Microsoft Dynamics Navision to be replaced by Microsoft Business Central).
* Spanish fiscal regulations.
Skills
* Fluent in verbal and written English and Spanish.
* Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite.

* Preparing monthly management accounts and/or annual statutory accounts.

Qualifications
* Part- or fully-qualified with a recognized accounting body.
