What's the Challenge?
As a Senior Thermal Design Engineer, you will support a new project by reporting to the head of the Systems Engineering Competence Centre and collaborating with team members across all subsystems. You will focus on thermal control and thermal protection subsystems, including design and analysis activities, as well as supporting implementation, testing, and validation tasks.
Your contributions will include:
* Providing technical support and conducting studies in the thermal control area throughout all project phases, focusing on the industrialization of a new design.
* Performing analysis to support thermal subsystem architecture definition and interfacing with other disciplines within the project.
* Writing technical documentation.
* Monitoring and following up on applicable scientific and technological trends, ensuring state-of-the-art expertise within the company.
What we're looking for:
Technical Skills:
* Experience in spacecraft thermal engineering, related technologies, and a general knowledge of space thermal control subsystems.
* Proficiency in thermal analysis and design tools such as CATIA and ESATAN-TMS.
* Familiarity with other thermal analysis tools like SINDA/FLUINT, SYSTEMA, and NX Thermal.
* Knowledge of MBSE philosophy.
* Detailed understanding of spacecraft systems and subsystems.
* Knowledge of New Space approaches and techniques.
* Experience with low-level integration and testing techniques.
* Strong technical writing skills for creating relevant technical and project implementation documentation.
* Ability to analyze technical data, verify and sustain specific systems configurations in accordance with defined constraints and requirements (following ECSS techniques).
Additional valued skills include:
* Knowledge of Capella MBSE Tool and/or Valispace.
* Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
* Familiarity with ECCS or other space-related standards.
Educational background:
* Preferred degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Professional Experience:
* 5-10 years in the aerospace industry.
